"A PADI side mount instructor course that will stand out from the others" Back to Courses
Please view my student level course and why sidemount pages before continuing with this page.
Please note: The best way to prepare yourself for this course is to take the student level course first and then gain experience diving in sidemount configuration (recommend 50 to 100 dives). Then complete the instructor course, another option I make available only to experienced technical instructors; take the student and instructor course together and then I recommend before you start teaching you build up the high level sidemount experience level required to offer future students a safe and valuable sidemount course. "There is no substitute for time spent in the water"

Recommend: If you are looking to take the student and instructor course together, you may want at least a day between the courses to further practice your sidemounting skills. During the instructor course you will be required to show role model demonstrations of all the skills you learn't during the student level course.
Once you have completed the instructor course I will advise you to build up your sidemounting skill level and suggest you make at least 50 dives in sidemount before running your first sidemount course, that way you will have developed the necessary muscle memory and experience to offer your students a sidemount course of value.

You need to be; a teaching status PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (or higher), certified in the SM Diver (twin cylinder) distinctive specialty course (or equivalent rating) and be at least 18 years old.
Cost... Due to my current schedule I am "on request" visiting many countries worldwide. I have a sidemount training proposal for overseas clients which can be emailed. Please contact me and we can go through the options.
