Open Water Sidemount DivingMain goals of all sidemount courses are to develop the student's knowledge of using sidemount configuration – types of sidemount configurations available, development history, safety procedures. Also develop the student's ability to perform the skills needed or that may be needed, when diving in a sidemount configuration. To enable the student diver to plan, organize and conduct dives using sidemount configuration.

DSAT - PADI TecRec Sidemount Technical Diving Courses

This courses are for all divers who want to try or further develop there technical diving qualifications and they want to do it wearing sidemount configuration. See if you are of of these people;

Below is a course chart showing the DSAT technical courses. I am one of very few DSAT instructors who also holds a instructor certification for teaching sidemount diving, this means it is possible for you to conduct any DSAT level course with me in sidemount configuration. (more details on each course click on the chart below)

Dive Rite Nomad Expedition Harness/Rig with the Armadillo butt plate. Video shows incorrect trimming of sidemount cylinders, when using the "door handles" to mount the rear of the cylinder the base of the cylinder rides to high. After adjustment trim is corrected, note not using any attachments on the rear of the harness or butt plate.

Want to know more about how your cylinders weight changes during a dive..? Video has information on what effects the weight change and has tests showing cylinders at different air pressures during dives in salt and fresh water. It displays whether they have Negative, Neutral or Positive Buoyancy.
