Sidemount Instructor offering courses in UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand

I am currently in Manchester, UK. If you are looking for a sidemount training in July or August, the following dates are available; (email me asap, open water site can be altered depending on your location)

  • Sidemount Course - July 30th (evening theory), July 31st & August 1st (Capernwray) - 4 spaces
  • Sidemount Course - August 13th (evening theory),  August 14th & 15th (Capernwray) - 3 spaces
  • Sidemount Course - August 20th (evening theory),  August 21th & 22nd (Capernwray) - 4 spaces

Customising Sidemount Equipment - Tips and TricksA website dedicated to sidemount scuba diving, you will find useful information and tips and tricks on sidemount diving and it's equipment setup. Sidemount equipment configuration has always been preferred choice for advanced cave divers, but now it is becoming very popular for many divers in open water diving environment; in particular with some recreational, technical and advanced wreck divers. I have personally found sidemounting with one or two cylinders more enjoyable for recreational diving.

Look at my current schedule I am running several sidemount courses each month. I have a sidemount training proposal for overseas clients which can be emailed. This is really only available to dive centres. There is also extra training for instructors wanting to become sidemount instructors. 

If you are a single student looking to do any courses with me, please drop me an email and can either schedule a course and have others join or you can join a course I have already running. If you have any questions about the training or equipment needed, do not hesitate to contact me. If your a dive centre, please send me your website address and contact details.

Dive Rite Nomad Expedition Harness/Rig with the Armadillo butt plate. Video shows incorrect trimming of sidemount cylinders, when using the "door handles" to mount the rear of the cylinder the base of the cylinder rides to high. After adjustment trim is corrected, note not using any attachments on the rear of the harness or butt plate.

Want to know more about how your cylinders weight changes during a dive..? Video has information on what effects the weight change and has tests showing cylinders at different air pressures during dives in salt and fresh water. It displays whether they have Negative, Neutral or Positive Buoyancy.
